Marbling is an ancient art developed in Italy. You introduce this effect in clay by blending colored clay into a white clay body. As you do this you create swirls and lines in the clay.

 

The design comes to life as you slowly remove the top layer of clay once the piece starts to dry. No two pieces will ever be the same due to this technique.

We have incorporated this technique into our Marbled Series which consists of: oval trays with matching bowls, plates, platters and bowls.
